The worst access ever.

July 16th 2026.

Today we tackled a tree at a property called Stoneacres in the Warrens of Polperro. The task was to dead wood an old and quite spreading Macracarpa. The tree was at the very bottom of the site, which was on a steep hill rising from the coastal path, there was no vehicular access to the bottom of the garden so all the waste had to be transported up to the very top of the site to be processed. The unique thing about this site is that it had a funicular lift to get from the house to the driveways above. So all the cut branches had to be loaded into the lift and transported up in that before they could reach the area where we were processing the waste. It proved to be a long, hot and hard day on the ground and in the tree, but it was completed on time and within budget and all in all, is not a job we will forget in a hurry.
