Over a few days in May we removed a large Monterey Pine at Revelstoke House in Noss Mayo. There were significant obstacles beneath the tree, a recently built wooden cabin, new fence, a barn and a hard standing. Also there are power lines that run underneath the tree. We arranged with Western Power to take these down for the duration of the job.
The weather throughout was terrible, heavy rain from start to finish, but we got it done without any problems. Didn’t get any good photos during the job due to the weather but here are a couple from the end. The first shows the wood from the tree, a lot of discs there. The second shows the stem of the tree next to the cabin it overhung. The stem has been left this height as the owner wants to have it carved into a statue of some sort.
